Emily Wise, MD
Emily M. Wise, MD practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with interests in acne and acne scars in addition to and melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. While she performs laser therapy for a broad range of skin conditions, she has a special interest in the use of the fraxel dual laser for photo damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and textural abnormalities.
Dr. Wise completed her residency training at Boston University, where she served as Academic Chief Dermatology Resident. She received her M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Wise graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Wise has conducted both basic science and clinical research in numerous areas within the field of dermatology and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed academic journals. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Melanoma Foundation of New England, where she volunteers her time speaking about the importance of prevention and early detection of melanoma. With this organization, she was an integral part of the formation of the “Your Skin is In” program which is dedicated to skin cancer education and prevention in high school and college aged students. She also volunteers and has trained hundreds of hair care professionals as part of “The Skinny on Skin,” a program that trains hair stylists to identify skin cancers of the head and scalp.
